The position offered
will be part of a new research area at the Institute that will focus
on the institutional, political and cultural embeddedness of markets.
International comparative research is especially welcome.
The research position, which can be filled for 3 to 5 years, enables
the candidate to qualify for professorial status by writing a
habilitation thesis. The salary, based on the German public service
scale, is BAT IIa. The position will be open as of 1 October 2005.
The successful candidate will have an excellent academic record and an
exceptional knowledge of sociological methodology and the English
language. He or she will also have demonstrated a profound interest in
scholarly research and an academic career.
