the session on Geomicrobiology : Mineralization, Weathering, Biofilms
at the next meeting of the European Geosciences Union (EGU)
which will take place in Vienna (Austria) from 15 to 20 April 2007

The objective of this session is to gather multidisciplinary communications
in the domain of interaction between minerals and bacteria from laboratory
experiments and field observations or measurements to modelling.

It is obvious that all these fascinating processes are not clearly understood yet
and require a big effort from a large community of scientists to evaluate
the real impact of bacteria on the reactions and transfers in the biosphere.
