In nowadays industrial and commercial society, design has become a very important means, ensuring a proper frame for reaching and maintaining certain advantages on different markets. The significance of product design shouldn’t be seen through the perspective of “make-up” of the products, but with a view to applying the principles of a so-called”good design”.
Theoreticians, critics, sociologists, psychologists, designers and specialists in product development have created, adopted or adapted different design concepts closed to the economical, social, technological and cultural conditions of human society. Establishing the parameters of a good design is not an unchanging process. Technical progresses, the standard of living, the consumer’s behaviour described by the „psychological profile” are factors of influence which determine the evolution in time of the concept of “good design”. Extensive research is being done all over the world for optimising models through design, stimulating creativity, determining the behavioural tendencies of the present and future consumer or ways of evaluation and instruments of work, and things won’t stop here.
