Rezumat:

This paper presents a constructive solution for a heating furnace used at heat treatment of aluminum alloys. In this paper I have studied the heating equipment, using a typical aluminum charge. The studies that I have done can reveal the advantage of using the ceramics for furnace insulation. Also, the experimental studies reveal a modified form of the work chamber and some new solutions for some parts of the furnace, in order to provide higher temperature uniformity (±3°C) in the furnace. In the end, I obtained a mathematical model for describing the heat transfer in the working chamber.
