Rezumat:

Objectives of the paper:
•First part: analyzing the elements which are specific for the European market.
•Second part: identifying the opportunities and risks which appear at a microeconomic level, associated with the perspectives of the single European market.
•Based on the above, possible development strategies at a microeconomic level which can ensure an increase in the competitiveness degree of firms on the single European market.
Conclusions:
•the firm must elaborate a strategy which will include the risks which influence its future evolution
•the main potential risk remains the one related to losing some market segments
•increasing the costs with advertising is no longer a main objective of the market competition system
•there still remains the problem of increasing the degree of competitiveness of the firms on the market.
