Rezumat:
This paper presents the results from the deterministic and probabilistic analysis of the nonsymmetrical wind effects (torsional effects, soil-structure interaction, wind action) to symmetrical high rise buildings. There are analyzed of uncertainties in the wind action to the various symmetrical high rise buildings. The Eurocode requires, that the resistance of structures must be checked to the accidental torsion effects. In the case of probabilistic analysis this effect should be considered as variable nonsymmetrical distribution of wind pressure. Some 15 storey buildings with the prismatic square cross-section are considered. The influence of the torsional effects will be discussed. There are compared the extreme interstorey drifts and extreme shear forces from deterministic and probabilistic analysis. The methodology of the deterministic and probabilistic analyses of the resistance of the high rise buildings was presented.
