Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/. Proiectul și-a propus identificarea și popularizarea modelelor de succes, a rezultatelor excepționale ale cercetătorilor români din țară și din afara ei.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA. Scopul acestei baze de date este aceea de a stimula colaborarea dintre cercetatorii romani de peste hotare dar si cu cercetatorii din Romania. Controls Engineer – SAF Holland- Holland, MI

SAF-HOLLAND, Inc. is a global leader in the manufacture and supply of key systems and components for the trailer, truck, tractor, bus, and motor home industries. Our product range includes premium axle and suspension systems, fifth wheels, kingpins, couplings, and landing gears.

We are currently seeking an innovative Controls Engineer to join our team in either Holland or Muskegon, MI. We are seeking candidates who are self-directed, with excellent verbal and written communication, and have experience problem solving with a consultative approach.

The Controls Engineer will research, design and deploy smart system solutions which integrate the principles of mechanics, electronics, and computing control in the development of commercial products and processes to meet targeted customer needs and requirements. Electronics/mechatronics technology solutions for a variety of (commercial) applications such as Sensor applications, Analog and digital systems, Embedded systems, Electromechanical device solutions, Servo or solenoid actuated systems, Control system interfaces, Wiring diagrams and Logic systems.

Candidates must have a Bachelors’ degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering and a Masters’ Degree (M.S.) is preferred. 8-10 years experience in research/design/development area of product engineering, including a minimum of 5 years in electronics/mechatronics technology solutions.

Knowledge of applicable verification and validation requirements for electronics systems (on vehicles). Knowledge of CAN Bus (J1939, J1708, etc) protocols. Proficiency in programming CAN nodes, PID controllers, RTOS, PLCs, etc. Preferred working knowledge of computer programming languages such as Visual BASIC, C++, or similar. Proficiency in computer aided engineering software, analytical and simulation tools, including CMMI, SPICE, Lab View, MathCAD, and Mat Lab/SimuLink. Preferred working knowledge of 3-D solid modeling (Solid works) and 2-D drafting software. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must have ability to travel up to 20% with potential for international travel.
