Rezumat:

Human trafficking represents a phenomenon that harms constitutional values of mankind, such as dignity, psyhical and physical integrity, freedom and choice. The penalty applied for human traffickers it is sentence from 3 to 12 years, along with some rights interdiction.
The deciding organ is put in condition to evaluate whether the analysed conduct complies or not with the legal systems, and eventually which aspects of the conduct might regard which laws. The following things can affect the type and length of sentence traffickers get: criminal record, the terms ‘aggravating’ and ‘mitigating’ factors of the case before deciding on a sentence.
The sentence has a purpose in preventing and protecting victims and prosecuting trafficking offenders. Law and the legal system is trying to make people be more aware of these risks by making video and radio spots (public service announcements), which are broadcast in numerous languages throughout the world.
