The aim of this paper is to present the results of ASO project "The Role of Education for the Duration of Unemployment" for one county of Romania, Gorj County. Using techniques to estimate models for duration data, like the Kaplan Meier method and Cox's proportional hazard model, we analyzed the influence of the level of education, age and gender for the duration of unemployment in Gorj County.
