Long-Range Magnetic Ordering in a TbIII-MoV Cyanido-Bridged Quasi-One-Dimensional Complex

The new one-dimensional polymer [Tb(pzam)3(H2O)Mo(CN)8]•H2O has been synthesized and characterized; magnetic susceptibility data indicate a substantial ferromagnetic superexchange between Tb(III) and Mo(V) via the cyanido bridge, and the occurrence of long- range magnetic ordering between chains at Tc ≈ 1 K.
