Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA. Scopul acestei baze de date este aceea de a stimula colaborarea dintre cercetatorii romani de peste hotare dar si cu cercetatorii din Romania. Applied Electrochemistry to materials science, engineering and environments: electrochemical methods for preparation of nano structured composite coatings, hybrid (inorganic – organic) layers, surface modifications, thin oxide layers, functional surfaces to improve corrosion and tribocorrosion behaviour of materials in specific environments, advanced metallic and ceramic materials, nanomaterials, micro and nanoparticles, electrochemical studies of nano (bio) electrode / environments solution interfaces, electrochemical corrosion and tribocorrosion.
Polymeric materials used in membrane systems for nanofiltration, transdermic drug delivery or implant materials.
Characterization of materials surfaces: Structural, morphological, compositional, micro topographic and mechanical studies of material surfaces (SEM-EDX, AFM, ultrahigh microtopography, microhardness), electrochemical, corrosion.

1978: Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Faculty of Chemical Engineering. Postgraduate studies: Fiability, maintenance, quality control, quality assurance in industrial chemistry and analytical methods for quality control. Quality assurance certificate. Statistic methods to improve the quality control.
1972 - 1977: Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, Faculty of Chemistry. 1977 M.S. in Chemistry. The Senate of the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest gave the recommendation for research work. Obtaining and adsorption properties of silicon oxide particles for using in the catalytic area.

Work Experience:
Invited Professor and Researcher: Over three (3) years cumulated during 2000-2011 in different periods from 1 to 6 months. Ecole Centrale Paris (ECP), Corrosion-Fragilisation-Hydrogène (CFH) and Génie des Procédés Matériaux (LGPM). Research and teaching: Electrodeposition of composite coatings, electrochemical techniques, degradation of materials and biomaterials by corrosion, wear - corrosion (tribocorrosion) and biocorrosion. Supervising research projects of Student Groups.
Invited Professor and Researcher: One (1) year and 8 months cumulated during 1998-2004, in different periods. Trento University, Department of Materials Engineering, Italy. Responsibility of Lectures, Laboratory Practices, Seminars and Research on Composite Coating Materials obtained by Electrodeposition for Materials Engineering and PhD students.
