Dr. Pascu was awarded a Bachelor degree in Biomaterials in 2009, and a PhD in BIomaterials in 2013. Dr. Pascu has won 72,000 Euros of funding to complete PhD research. Dr. Pascu's research background has been focused on orthopaedic biomaterials, including calcium phosphate, poly(caprolactone), poly(hydroxyalkanoates), and silk-containing biomaterials. Dr. Pascu has also considerable expertise in soft tissue engineering, including vascular and liver regeneration.
She is currently working as a Biomaterials Researcher at Dublin City University, Dublin, Ireland as part of the Biomaterials Research Group of specialists which work with clinicians and radiologists as well as external marketing and regulatory consultants to bring novel products to market. Developing novel injectable biomaterials for the treatment of cerebral aneurysms and to the development of angiogenic biomaterials for the treatment of peripheral artery disease.
She is also a Scientific Editor with Ccatus Communications and a certified peer-reviewer for various research Journals.
