Am terminat doctoratul la Universitatea Queensland (Brisbane, Australia) in genetica moleculara a formarii nodozidatilor intr-o planta leguminoasa model, Lotus japonicus. Primul postdoc a fost in Canberra la CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization) pe module de actiune al complexulul Polycomb in plante si pe memoria epigentica a vernalizarii in Arabidiopsis thaliana. In present, sint la Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Nara, Japonia si lucrez pe indentificare unor noi enzyme prentru de-metilarea ADN-ului, in contextul dezvoltarii endospermului si imprinting.

I did my PhD at the University of Queesland, Brisbane, Australia on molecular genetics of legume nodulation in the model plant Lotus japonicus. My first post doc was with CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization) in Canberra on Polycomb action in plants and the epigenetic memory of winter (vernalization) in Arabidopsis thaliana. I am currently doing a second post doc at Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Nara, Japan on identification of novel enzymes for DNA de-methylation in the context of endosperm development and gene imprinting in Arabidopsis thaliana.
