Nascuta la Bucuresti, la 27 mai 1947, dintr-o familie de intelectuali romani, tatal fiind ofiter,absolvent si o perioada profesor al Scolii Superioare de Razboi, mama fiin licentiata in Stiinte Naturale. Studii:Liceul "Gheorghe Lazar" din Bucuresti si Conservatorul de Muzica "Ciprian Porumbescu"(1965-1971).In timpul studiilor a beneficiat de bursa de merit "George Enescu".Cursuri de perfectionare de compozitie la Darmstadt(R.F.Germania) in 1974,1978,1980,1982,1984.In 1983 a fost bursier USIA(United State Information Agency)al Departamentului de Stat American.
In prezent: Profesor Universitar Doctor la Catedra de Compozitie(la disciplinele orchestratie,forme muzicale si compozitie),expert evaluator ARACIS, membra a Uniunii Compozitorilor si Muzicologilor din Romania,membra GEMA(Germania),Prim Vice-Presedinte ACPRI(Asociatia Culturala de prietenie Romania-Israel),membra "Research Board of Advisors"(American Biogrphical Institute),membra "Professional Women Advisory Board(American Biographical Institute),membrea "International Council Research"(Anglia),membrea "Living Music Foundation"(SUA), membra ECPNM(European Conference of Promoters of New Music).
Compozitii: a compus mai multe lucrari (peste 100 ), 7 simfonii, 7 concerte instrumentale, 3 opere, 4 cantate,1 oratoriu, muzica de camera, muzica corala, muzica pentru copii, computer music, creatii multimedia. Compozitiile au fost publicate la Editua Muzicala, la Edition Furore(Kassel),la Edition Modern(München), Score-on-line(Franta-SUA).Carti:"Tehnici de Orchestratie", "Creatia muzicala un inefabil demers intre fantezie si rigoare aritmetica si geometrica", "Sintaxe omofone tonale", "Analize polifone tonale", studii, articole, emisiuni Radio-TV.

Activitate interpretaiva: ca si pianista a fondat in 1990 impreuna cu compozitorul si violoncelistul Serban Nichifor Duo-ul "Intermedia-Nuova Musica Consonante", dedicat promovarii muzicii contemporane post-moderne. Au realizat inregistrari in Romania, Italia si Belgia. A fondat, de asemenea serialul de concerte si conferinte "Nuova Musica Consonante" (membru ECPNM). Din anul 2003, "Nuova Musica Consonante" a jonctionat cu "Living Music Foundation"(SUA).
Compozitor pentru computer music: a realizat mai multe CD-uri si DVD-uri, participari la manifestari internationale de CyberArt, la New York,Boston,Stanford,New Mexico,Illinois, Bourges, Sarvar, Melbourne.
