Rezumat:
An experimental study of mass transfer-limited anodic dissolution of copper in solutions of sulphuric acid and copper sulphate using the rotating disc electrode technique is presented. Linear and cyclic voltammograms of electrochemical systems consisting of copper discs (2.5 mm) and aqueous solutions of copper sulphate (0.025÷0.6M) and sulphuric acid (0.5÷1.85M) at different rotational speeds of copper RDE (200÷2200RPM), and temperature (25÷45 C) were measured. Considering the limiting-current densities obtained, the influence of the angular speed, temperature, copper sulphate and sulphuric acid concentrations over the copper dissolution rate was determined. Further, based on three-dimensional plots there were established correlation equations for copper-dissolution rate available under the specified conditions.
