Rezumat:
A general procedure for analysis of helicopter handling qualities in turbulent atmosphere is formulated based on a linear model of the vehicle, on a simple representation of the turbulence field and on a mathematical model of the human pilot for quantitative evaluations. The approach leads to a linear system with part of the input random. Results from the theory of linear systems with random input, as well as simulation, can be used to predict helicopter handling qualities in turbulence.
