Rezumat:

The present paper is focused on alternatives to expensive procedure of ceramic depositions and promotes as techniques electrochemical and chemical bioactive depositions.
The electrolytic method presented consists of application of a potential difference between a platinum anode and a titanium cathode. The electrodes are immersed in a solution rich in calciumand phosphate ions at temperature 80C , current density of 0.20mA/cm2 during 60 min. This process consists of an electrolytic deposition of monelite, on titanium substrates. The conversion from monelite to hydroxyapatite was done in a solution 0.1 M NaOH at 60C during 10hours. Chemical bioactivation is an alkali treatement – the titanium electrodes was soaked in 5N NaOH solution at 60C for 10h. The treated samples were washed in deionized water and dried at 300C for 6h. A calcium phosphate coating was produced on substrate by immersion in a solution that simulates body fluid(SBF) for 3 day and then in a solution 5 SBF (a solution with Ca2+ concentration 5 times higher) for other 3 days.
FTIR was performed in order to determine the chemical structure of electrochemical deposition and to identify the functional groups.
.The behavior of coatings were studied electrochemically by open circuit, cyclic polarization experiments in simulated body fluid solution with a Voltalab 40 The stability of the system is characterized by the dissolution of calcium and passivation characteristics of the underlying metallic substrate.
