The Paleocene to Middle Eocene Tarcau Sandstone at Buzau Valley, eastern Carpathians, Romania, records sedimentation in a turbidite system. These strata contain a diverse and abundant pre- and postdepositional ichnofauna consisting of 35 ichnogenera and 54 ichnospecies.
