premii Ad Astra

Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/. Proiectul și-a propus identificarea și popularizarea modelelor de succes, a rezultatelor excepționale ale cercetătorilor români din țară și din afara ei.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA.

Measuring the Hysteresis Loop of Permanent MagnetsWith the Pulsed Field Magnetometer

We discuss a comprehensive approach to the characterization of permanent magnets with the pulsed field magnetometer. The approach is based on a systematic comparison of the results obtained by this method with those from the conventional closed-circuit and open-sample methods and on the assessment of the dynamic phenomena engendered by the application of the fast exciting field pulse. Such phenomena derive from the thermal fluctuation aftereffect

The Soils Quality from the Southern – Eastern Part of Baia Mare Zone Affected by Metallurgical Industry

The studied area is placed south of the copper plant Baia Mare and was under the impact of gaseous emissions for many years. Heavy metals pollution and landslide caused by pedogenetic conditions were the factors that led to the limitation of land use for agriculture. Based on the physical and chemical characteristics and soil composition profile there were identified these types of soil: eutricambosol, typical luvosol, stagnic, gleyic luvosol and

Tellurides Occurrences in the Baia Mare Region, Romania

Tellurides are significant minerals in gold deposits both as gold carriers and as indicators of PTx-conditions. In the Inner Carpathians belt tellurides are abundant in most deposits of the golden Quadrilateral (Apuseni Mountains) and sporadic in the Banska Stiavnica zone and the Zlata Bania zone. In the presenr paper we describe for first time altaite and tetradymite occurences in the Baia Mare district proved by e-probe data. Altaite (PbTe) was

The Subvulcanic Magmatic Rocks from the Nistru Zone (Gutii Mountains)

The intrusive rock from Nistru zone represents the subvolcanic suite of the igneous activity from the southern part of the Gutâi Mountains. The subvolcanic magmatic rocks from Nistru zone follow, in succession, the phase of Sarmatian pyroxene andesites. They are spatially associated to the volcanic rocks, being distinguished by morphological and structural aspects, as well as by petrographic types. The relations between the main types of magmatic

Bismuth sulphosalts from the galena-matildite series in the Cremenea vein, ªuior, Baia Mare district, Romania

Ag-Bi-sulphosalts are reported from Cu-rich ores within base metal mineralization situated beneath Au-ores below level 750-800 m in the Cremenea vein of the ªuior epithermal vein deposit, Baia Mare region, Romania. Microanalytical data show the presence of a homogeneous unnamed phase with empirical composition [(Ag0.81Cu0.12)0.93Pb0.91(Bi1.11Sb0.06)1.17(S2.98Se0.02)3], showing light Bi-enrichment relative to ideal AgPbBiS3. Intergrowths of galena

Heavy metals concentrations of the soils around Zlatna and Copşa Micã smelters Romania

The concentration and distribution of Pb, Cu, Zn and Cd in the soils from Zlatna and Copşa Micã (Romania) highly polluted by metallurgical activity, have been studied in the soil profile for different types of soils related with the physical and chemical properties of the soils. In Zlatna area, there have been studied the Aluviosol, Dystricambosol and Alosol types and in Copşa Micã area the Aluviosol and Phaeozem types. Content of humus, pH,

Soils from the Baia Mare Zone and the Heavy Metals Pollution

The pollution of the soils with heavy metals, Pb, Cu, Zn and Cd, was studied on a surface over 20.53km2 of Baia Mare. The total concentration of heavy metals was measured in the upper horizon for the entire surface of Baia Mare city and for each pedogenetical horizon within the soil profiles up to 1.20 m depth in the industrial zones. In both industrial areals Romplumb and Cuprom texture, pH, cation exchange capacity, base saturation, total carbon,

Another look at nagyágite from the type locality, Sãcãrîmb, Romania: Replacement, chemical variation and petrogenetic implications

Extensive compositional heterogeneity is displayed by Pb-Sb-Au tellurides from the type locality at Sacaramb. These phases are collectively considered as varieties of nagyagite in the absence of crystal chemical data confirming the presence of distinct, but topologically closely related compounds. Chemical heterogeneity is seen relative to 'normal' nagyagite, with close to the ideal composition Pb3[Pb1.8(Sb1.1,As0.1)1.2]∑3S6(AuTe2), which is the

Detoxification of Heavy Metal Contaminated Soils

The concentration of the heavy metals in the soils from the strong affected zones because of the mining and metallurgical industry, Baia Mare and Zlatna (Romania), is significant due to the high values of the contents and association of the four metals Pb, Cu, Zn, Cd. The efficacy of the natural zeolites in heavy metals immobilization from the studied soils was evaluated in experiments in which the plant growth was observed. Heavy metals contaminated
