Lecturer with the West University of Timisoara and postdoctoral research associate with the University of Salzburg, completed his academic qualifications (MSc and PhD in Geography) at "Babes-Bolyai" University of Cluj-Napoca. He is a specialist in Geomorphometry and GIS/remote sensing applications in landscape ecology. Involved in a range of research projects, he was awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship, an Occasional Lecturer Program Award, and a Fulbright Fellowship.
