Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/. Proiectul și-a propus identificarea și popularizarea modelelor de succes, a rezultatelor excepționale ale cercetătorilor români din țară și din afara ei.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA. Scopul acestei baze de date este aceea de a stimula colaborarea dintre cercetatorii romani de peste hotare dar si cu cercetatorii din Romania. Cercetatorii care doresc sa fie nominalizati in aceasta baza de date sunt rugati sa trimita un email la cristian.presura@gmail.com

EDUCATION
I have earned degrees in Orthodox Theology (BA, Cuza Univ. of Iasi, Ro.), Historical Theology (MA, Faculty of Theology, Univ. of Bucharest, Ro.), Intercultural Theology and Eastern Christian Studies (MA, Univ. of Nijmegen, Ned.). I am currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Theology, Univ. of Leuven, Be. (degree to be earned in 2009).

RESEARCH INTERESTS
The Church and the transformation of the Mediterranean world in Late Antiquity (4th - 7th centuries), with special interest in topics such as Christianity of the 'barbarian' peoples, history of mission and conversion, orthodoxy and heresy, history of late Arianism, Patristics.
Byzantine History and Theology, esp. the relationship between Byzantium and the West. The Post-Byzantine 17th century in Southern and Eastern Europe, with special concern for the Orthodox Confessions of Faith and topics relating to Cultural History.
History of the Christian doctrine, esp. the problem with the concept of 'doctrinal development' in patristic, post-patristic and Orthodox theology. The Origin and Evolution of Anti-Trinitarian Doctrines in Modern and Contemporary Christianity.
The challenge of different historiographical approaches to the first centuries of the Christian era, such as Early Church History, Early Christianity, Christian Antiquity, Late Antiquity. Contemporary methodological turns in ecclesiastical historiography, e.g. dealing with the concept of 'heresy'.
