Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/. Proiectul și-a propus identificarea și popularizarea modelelor de succes, a rezultatelor excepționale ale cercetătorilor români din țară și din afara ei.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA. Scopul acestei baze de date este aceea de a stimula colaborarea dintre cercetatorii romani de peste hotare dar si cu cercetatorii din Romania. Cercetatorii care doresc sa fie nominalizati in aceasta baza de date sunt rugati sa trimita un email la cristian.presura@gmail.com

Virgil-Florin Duma

Virgil-Florin Duma is Professor at the Aurel Vlaicu Univ. of Arad, head and founder of the 3OM Optomechatronics Group (http://3om-group-optomechatronics.ro/). He received his PhD cum laude in Fine Mechanics & Optics in 2001, from the Polytechnic Univ. of Timisoara (UPT), Romania, where he graduated in 1991, valedictorian. He was a Fulbright Senior Research Fellow at The Institute of Optics, Univ. of Rochester, NY (2009-2010), where he is Visiting Scientist. Also, he is Honorary Prof. at the Univ. of Kent, Canterbury, UK, Adjunct Prof. at the West Univ. of Timisoara and at UPT. Prof. Duma defeated his Habilitation Thesis in 2013 at the Polytechnic Univ. of Bucharest, Romania. He is author of over 250 publications in journals and conferences, 15 books & book chapters, and has 2 patents awarded. His main research interests are in Measuring Systems, Optics, and Optomechatronics (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Virgil-Florin_Duma). Prof. Duma is member of OSA, Senior Member of SPIE, and Life Member of the Fulbright Association.
