� Electrochimie interfaciala: studii de voltametrie ciclica asupra proceselor de suprafata la electrozi monocristalini (adsorbtie, oxidare, reconstructie si segregatie superficiala) si de spectroscopie de impedanta pe electrozi semiconductori curati si modificati chimic (evidentierea contributiei capacitive a starilor de suprafata, a filmelor depuse si a modificarii proprietatilor adsorbtive)
� Procese optice nelineare la interfata electrificata semiconductor/solutie (punerea in evidenta a efectelor de camp si de suprafata in generarea armonicii a doua optice)
� Stiinta suprafetei: lucru de extractie/potential de suprafata (variatia la adsorbtia gazelor pe filme metalice simple si aliaje depuse in vid), spectroscopie fotoelectronica de raze X (evidentierea efectului de deplasare electrochimica a nivelelor electronice ale speciilor adsorbite sub actiunea potentialului aplicat) spectroscopie Auger si difractie de electroni de energie joasa (studierea compozitiei si a structurii pirazinei adsorbite pe Au(111) si Ag(111))

-Interfacial electrochemistry: cyclic voltammetry studies of surface processes at single crystalline electrodes (adsorption, oxidation, surface reconstruction, surface segregation) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy investigations on bare and chemically modified single crystalline semiconductor electrodes (pointing out the capacitive contribution of the surface states, deposited films and adsorption layers)
-Non-linear optic properties at electrified semiconductor/solution interface (evidence of surface state- and field-effects at GaAs(hkl)/electrolyte junction)
-Surface science: work function/surface potential measurements (adsorption-induced variation on vacuum-deposited metal and alloy films) X-ray photo-electron-spectroscopy, XPS (evidencing the potential induced electrochemical shift of the adsorbed species core level binding energy), low energy electron diffraction (LEED) and Auger electron spectroscopy, AES (studies on the structure and chemical composition of pyrazine adsorbed on Au(111) and Ag(111) electrodes)
-Heterogeneous catalysis (design and microproduction of 4 catalytic sensors for measuring the methane and combustible gases concentration in air mixtures)
