Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/. Proiectul și-a propus identificarea și popularizarea modelelor de succes, a rezultatelor excepționale ale cercetătorilor români din țară și din afara ei.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA. Scopul acestei baze de date este aceea de a stimula colaborarea dintre cercetatorii romani de peste hotare dar si cu cercetatorii din Romania. Cercetatorii care doresc sa fie nominalizati in aceasta baza de date sunt rugati sa trimita un email la cristian.presura@gmail.com

In general, constructions are design for a minimum life span and have a precise functionality. From different reasons, constructions can lose their performance: change of functionality (ex. from apartments building to office building), structural intervention (ex. new openings are created or bearing elements are removed), design errors, construction faults or exceptional events (calamities or explosions). When one or more of these actions are present simultaneously, and no responsible action has been taken to reestablish the safe performance of the building, events with catastrophic consequences may occur. Our day's constructions are achieving a high degree of complexity and long term performance is expected. This is the result of the conjugated effort of continuous improvement of construction materials and innovation in construction technology. Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) combined with epoxy resigns are the result of the above mentioned. Among others (aviation industry, car industry, medicine, etc.), FRP composites are used in the construction industry too and are a real and viable solution to rehabilitate a structure. The outstanding mechanical properties combined with the low weight makes the FRP composites a real challenge for the classic strengthening techniques.
