Chirila Gabriel

Gabriel was born in Suceava County, Romania, in 1979. He received the B.Sc.degree in Geology (2004), M.Sc degrees in Biostratigraphy (2005) and PhD. in Geology (2008) at Al. I. Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. The title of doctoral thesis: Paleofloristic study of the Sarmatian from Rasca Valley (advisor; Prof. dr. em. Leonard Olaru) was rewarded with Cum Laude distinction at Al. I. Cuza University of Iasi (2008). From 2004 to 2008 he worked as Mud Logger/Data Engineer (Logging Geologist) for Geolog International, and Intrenational Logging in North Africa (Libia, Algeria, Tunisia), Europe (Italy, UK, Denmark, Germany). In 2008 he joined the Department of Geology as Lecturer. He is author or co-author of 10 journal papers and many conference publications.
