flag Detalii:

flag Details:
Sorin Dan Anghel was born in Sighisoara on April 14, 1951. In 1970 he began to study Physics at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj. In 1975 he graduated the B.S. degree in electronics-physics. From 1975 to 1991 he worked as physicist in geophysics and heavy industry and as researcher at Research Institute for Analytical Instrumentation, Cluj. In 1991, after obtaining the Ph.D. degree, he became professor at "Babes-Bolyai" University, Faculty of Physics. The scientific research activity is directed over plasma studies, particularly over the radiofrequency plasmas generated at atmospheric pressure. The main researching directions: (a) building of RF generators for generating atmospheric pressure plasmas; (b) fundamental studies on generated plasmas; (c) applications of generated plasmas: spectral sources for analysis of liquid and solid (conductive and nonconductive) samples and the treatment of thermo-sensitive materials.
