Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/. Proiectul și-a propus identificarea și popularizarea modelelor de succes, a rezultatelor excepționale ale cercetătorilor români din țară și din afara ei.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA. Scopul acestei baze de date este aceea de a stimula colaborarea dintre cercetatorii romani de peste hotare dar si cu cercetatorii din Romania. Cercetatorii care doresc sa fie nominalizati in aceasta baza de date sunt rugati sa trimita un email la cristian.presura@gmail.com

Elena Badea gained his MSc in Food Chemistry and Engineering at the University “Dunarea de Jos” of Galati, Romania (1992) where she took the PhD degree in Chemical Engineering (2001). She was appointed to a tenured post as an assistant (1994) and then as a lecturer (1999) at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Craiova (Romania). In 2001 she was awarded a 6-month NATO Outreach fellowship the Department of Chemistry IFM, University of Turin, Italy. From 2002 to present she continued her research and didactic activities as scientist under contract at the University of Turin. EB’s interests: chemical thermodynamics of phase transitions and odd-even effect, solvation and hydrophobic-hydrophilic interaction of small model compounds, advanced physical-chemical investigation of cultural heritage with particular focus on calorimetry and thermal analysis, scanning electron microscopy, unilateral nuclear magnetic resonance and spectroscopic techniques. EB has been strongly involved in the implementation of EU Project IDAP (www.idap-parchment.dk), Regional Project OPERA (www.opera-parchment.it) and Romanian ANCS Project PERGAMON. EB participated in the organisation of the 41th IUPAC World Chemistry Congress, Turin, Aug 2007 (topics: Chemistry Protecting Health, Natural Environment and Cultural Heritage). In 2008 she made part of the organising committee of the International Seminar and Workshop “Conservation and Restoration of Parchment” (CRP2008) held on 5-8 Sept 2008, in Turin. EB is chair of the Scientific Programme Committee of MATCONS International Conference (editions 2009, 2011) (http://www.forummuzeulolteniei.ro/index.html).Since 2000 EB is developing activities of tutoring and supervising, group research coordination and research funding raise within the Physical Chemistry group coordinated by Prof. G. Della Gatta. This group has created a wide international network of research collaboration programmes (12 bilateral agreements with 8 Universities from EU and 1 from Russia, and 3 Research Institutes, Socrates agreements with 7 EU Universities and a number of agreements with museums and archives throughout Europe). EB is the founder and president of the Romanian Association “Science and Cultural Heritage in Connection”.EB is the author of 67 papers. She has given more then 50 personal lectures and research seminars at international conferences, symposia, seminars, etc.
