flag Details:
The projects attempts to study the two body problem in non-inertial reference frames by using tensorial and quaternionic methods. New direct computation methods are introduced, and the theoretical results that are obtained apply to relative orbital satellite motion. The applications point to formation flying configurations. The whole study key is an inedit vectorial regularization that transorms the nonlinear differential equation with variable coeffiecients that models the motion into a linear differential equation by means of a differential operator adequately defined. This regularization is possible due to some inedit prime integrals. This generalizes in the case of non-inertial reference frames the classic regularizations like those of Levi-Civita, Kustaanheimo and Mosser.
As a consequence of the theoretical studies, a comprehensive study on the shape of the trajectories, as well as on the motion on the trajectories of the celestial bodies under the influence of an keplerian attraction force will be made. The direct application to this study is the relative Keplerian motion, where completely new results will be revealed. Significant results concerning Formation Flying Spacecraft will be deduced.
We mention that such a study can not be found in the classical books of theoretical and orbital mechanics. The method of positioning a satellite in any moment, related to Earth or any other celestial body that attracts it with a keplerian force, will be considerably simplified.
Using only elements of the classic Keplerian motion, a new exact methodology in Celestial and Orbital Mechanics may be fundamented.
