Dr. Florin Paun is New Business Deputy Director at ONERA - French Aerospace Lab, since January 2005, in charge with the Technology Transfer and International Development and defines programs and new partnership policies focusing on complementary knowledge, cross suporting offers, mutual intellectual property valuation, joint-venture, spin-off;

Previously, he was Senior Science and Technology Expert in materials and structures, Project Coordinator for the Multifunctional Materials Program at ONERA, Technical Correspondent for the ONERA - DARPA project on Design of High Temperature Acoustic Absorbent Materials and teacher of students seeking a masters degree in aerospace.

He obtained his PhD at ENSICA, Toulouse in 1998, with a thesis on Thermo- Mechanical Fatigue of Materials. He has previously attended Ecole Polytechnique at ParisTech after having been ranked 3rd in the Aeronautic Faculty in Bucharest where he got his Masters in Aerospace Engineering in 1993.
