RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

GRADUATE

Developed a model study for the synthesis of the highly oxygenated core of zaragozic acids, using template directed C-H insertion reaction.


Developed carboxylate directed C-H insertion reactions as a common methodology for zaragozic acids and applied it for the asymmetric synthesis of Zaragozic Acid Ax3 core.

Developed a method for the stereoselective synthesis of pyruvated pyranosides in which one of the key steps involves the formation of the cyclic ortho esters of the pyranosides.

UNDERGRADUATE

Demonstrated the occurrence of p-quinoketene during an esterification process of a p-hydroxy acyl chloride with a hindered phenol, in the presence of triethylamine.
