Rezumat:

Articolul prezinta realizarea unui simulator pe calculator al motorului naval de propulsie si al compartimentului de masini, utilizat in activitatea de instruire in cadrul Universitatii Maritime din Constanta. Pe baza pachetului software original, autorii prezinta posibilitatea formarii unei banci de date la bordul navei pentru sistemul de propulsie naval: modelele de simulare a functionarii motorului, prevazut cu datele de intrare corespunzatoare situatiilor de functionare reale si predictia raspunsului sistemului, contribuind in acest fel la dezvoltarea bancii de date; semnalele preluate prin senzorii montati pe motor sunt procesate si directionate spre unitatea centrala de management a sistemului de propulsie, care contine subsistemele necesare diagnozei, optimizarii performantelor si mentenantei motorului.

The paper is an attempt to create a computer simulation of the marine engine and of the engine room used for training activities in Constantza Maritime Univesity, Romania. Starting from an original software package, the authors present the possible formation of on-board data bank for the propulsion system: the engine simulation models, fed with appropriate input data corresponding to the actual operating conditions and predicting an expected or reference response supplying in this way the information in the data bank; the signal from sensors placed on the engine are processed and directed to the central management unit which contains the subsystems for fault diagnosis, performance optimisation and condition based maintenance scheduling.
