Rezumat:

The concept of extension is extremely wide and complex, being developed in a system that differs on many characteristics: beneficiaries, objectives, sources of covering the costs and so on. At the moment is interesting to know for government which are the limits until there it can give up its power and responsibility without implying negative effects; knowing both that most of the beneficiaries are not able to sustain the cost of being helped and that agricultural extension follows a number of objectives that are compulsory for government to be achieved, being national objectives as are domestic food security, reducing the poverty, decreasing urban-rural level of life disparity and many others.
