Rezumat:

Lucrarea prezinta date teoretice si practice necesare aplicarii fenomenului de transport numit termodifuzie. In cele 4 capitole se prezinta teoria efectului elementar de separare prin termodifuzie, teoria coloanei de separare, precum si o serie de principii operationale ale coloanelor din sticla sau metal.
Cele mai importante domenii de aplicare ale termodifuziei sunt: imbogatirea finala a izotopilor stabili sau radioactivi la scala pilot sau de laborator, preimbogatires componentelor aflate in urme, in vederea asigurarii unei analize mai precise a acestora, imbogatirea izotopilor mediani din amestecurile polinare, studiul fortelor intermoleculare.

The book is intended to give to the reader the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for the application of the transport phenomena called termal diffusion. In four chapters and an extensive appendix, the elementary separation effect and the column theory, as well as constructional and operational principles of glass and metal columns are treated.
The most important fields of the thermal diffusion application are the final enrichment of stable or radioactive isotopes on pilot and/or laboratory scale, the defined pre-enrichment of tracer components for their more accurate analysis, the continuous preparation of rare middle components from polynary mixtures and, last but not least, research on intermolecular forces.
