Rezumat:

The SMS (pour Short Messages Service ou textos) is today an phenomenon which is taken into account by the society. It determines the creations of different discourses and representations. We can describe here the mess-media discourse, those of theachers, and, at the level of attitudes, the television shows who are encouraging the usage of this service, or even certain websites, who has been created specially to present the SMS as a world in itself. There are also the poetry competitions by SMS where the aim is to see how can be expressed the individual creativity in a format of 160 characters. The usage of SMS supposes a good appropriation of cell phone a new form of social behavior,and also a form of collective representation. The SMS becomes a culture who has its usages very different to its numerous usagers. It goes beyond its initial functions, of communication and socialisation, and becomes a place for creativity and artistic innovation.
