Rezumat:
Low cost agricultural fibers or wood flour can be considered as fillers that enhance the flexural properties of the thermoplastic composites with some effect on the composite strength. A case study comparing a residual material of flax, after removal of the long fibers, named flax straw and wood flour derived from a hardwood (oak 20 mesh size) was employed at Wellington Polymer Technology Inc., manufacturer of the roofing material Enviroshake®.
