High-pressure vapor-liquid equilibria in the ternary nitrogen + dimethyl ether + methanol system and Henry constant calculation for nitrogen

In the present work new experimental VLE data (P, T, x, y) are reported for the ternary nitrogen (1) + dimethyl ether (2) + methanol (3) system at 40 and 15 0C. The system has not been previously studied. The experimental data are presented by comparison with those predicted by means of the SRK equation of state with MHV2 mixing rule combined with modified UNIFAC or UNIQUAC models. In order to see if an ideal behavior of the ternary system is valid for the Henry’s constants, Henry’s constant calculations for nitrogen have been performed in the two constituent binary subsystems (nitrogen (1) + dimethyl ether (2) and nitrogen (1) + methanol (3)) and in the ternary system under study.
