Rezumat:
The annual report of the World Health Organization is showing that the psychical damages are a high source of disabilities, five within the very first 10 items of the disease hierarchy depending upon the capacity of disabilities generating being occupied by the psychical damages. The for life prevalence of these diseases is about 33 % which means that one per three persons will have, at a moment, during their life, a psychical damage that can be diagnosticated by the accepted international standards. On 6 months prevalence is about 20 %. The aim of this article is to elucidate the physiological mechanisms responsible by generating of anxiety, bipolar disorders, migraine and depression, the economical and social context role, the incidence of this pathology, efficient therapeutic strategies and especially the useful of lithium and lithium mineral waters in the prophylaxis and therapy of bipolar disorders and migraine. Many authors proposed that lithium is a good treatment for migraine and bipolar disorders. We intend to use lithium mineral waters, defined as natural therapeutic factors, with lithium at safe concentrations, in prophylaxis of the anxiety and the before mentioned brain diseases. One important question that arises for any psychiatrist is if the lithium content of the mineral water can or not has a therapeutic or a prophylactic value. An initial answer is that preliminary studies on glial cell cultures showed a significant modification in cell biochemistry and morphology. These changes constitute an argument for us to go on with future experiments to clarify this issue. Secondly, if we look to the concentration values we have to remark that one litter of lithium mineral water contain less then 1.2 mEq of lithium. This concentration is important for us in our intention to reach progressively the therapeutic index of the lithium ion.
