This article aims to analyze the migration phenomenon in Romania in the context of Romania's accession to the European Union . Migration is a key- issue for Europe and, implicitely, for Romania, due to the deep movements giving a new shape to the geopolitical structure of the old continent. In the current conditions of globalization, migration can not be described as an isolated phenomenon, its global footprint being more and more visible. Taking
