Calixarene transportori in membrane lichide. II. Azoderivati ai calix[4]arenei

When a chromophoric group is introduced into the appropriate position in calix[4]arenes one may expect novel association and spectral properties. This paper describes the synthesis of two "chcomophoric calixarenes" by coupling reactions between calix[4]arene and diazonium salts corresponding to 4 amino benzo 15-crown-5 and sulphanilic acid. Coupling reactions were carried out in heterogeneous medium in order to diminishing the rate of coupling and

Materiale membranare. III. Particule magnetice si ferrofluide

The synthesis and the systematic study of the properties of magnetic fluids (magnetic dispersions)were started few years ago. In theis work it is presented same results about preparation of magnetic particles and ferrofluids for separation by membrane processes.

Materiale membranare. I. Polietercetone

Membrane technology is a relatively new separation process. It can be applied in process integrated systems and in this way waste problems are drastically reduced while valuable products are recovered. Polyetherketones can be a good membrane material with very interesting results in pressure and ellectric driven processes.

Anisotropic etching of silicon in a complexant redox alkaline system

This paper presents the results from the investigation of the chemicat anisotropic etching of single-cristal silicon in the following solution: KOH, K3[Fe(CN)6]; K4[Fe(CN)6] and/or complexant added. The complexants added in KOH solution were: calix[n]arene, phenols and ether dibebzo-18-crown-6. The reaction mechanism, the etch rate, the roughness and hillocks are analysed.

The influence of surfactants on the wetting on hydrophobic microporous membranes

The influence of surfactants upon the wetability of some hydrophobic microporous membranes of polysulphone was studied by determining the contact angle and the ultrafiltration rates.
