STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PROCESSED Ti-6Al-7Nb ALLOY IN (alfa+beta) DOMAIN BY PLASTIC DEFORMATION AND HEAT TREATMENT

This paper presents some scientific results referring to structural characteristics of a Ti-Al-Nb alloy, processed by plastic deformation and heat treatment. In order to investigate structural characteristics two different phase states were used, the "lower" temperature phase (alfa+beta) (about 930°C) processed by plastic deformation, using a deformation degree e = 35% and same (alfa+beta) phase processed by plastic deformation and heat treated.

RESEARCH ON THE CAUSES OF CERTAIN FAULT OCCURENCES IN SEMIFINISHED PRODUCTS DURING THE CONTINUOUS CASTING PROCESS

Semifinished continuously cast steel products represent the optimum solution for raw materials for hot-rolling sectors in that they present low costs and satisfactory quality.
