Rezumat:
The mesomorphic properties of new synthesised materials, cholesteryl derivatives and nematogenic compound with rigid cores, were investigated by a simple analytical system using light scattering (LS) method. Changes of the transmission light intensity through the sample were measured as function of temperature. The effect of the electric field on the transmitted light intensities when heating/cooling the samples was studied. Significant changes of the cholesteric pitch were found as a result of doping the cholesteric matrix with an azoderivative compound.
