Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA.

The aim of my study is to investigate the influence of lithium mineral waters upon the regulatory differentiation and proliferation of glial cells. Lithium is the simplest therapeutic agent available for the treatment of bipolar disorder for over 100 years and no definitive mechanism for its effect has been established. Many studies have been done on neurons and they pointed out that lithium has many influences on the neurotransmitter systems, second messenger systems and the level of membrane depolarization. Glial cells create a specific cellular environment for neurons and there are effects on them too. We tried to find out how glial cells viability and morphology are changed during treatment in vitro with lithium mineral waters.
