Academic learning improves and continues the scholar learning, being distinguished by both the specificity that it involves higher/university education compared to pre-university education, and especially, the characteristics of personality development in every stage of life.
In academic environment, for students engaged in education, the sources of stress can be found either at the level of learning context people in the close group, teachers, the belonging to several groups, competition with peers, strained relations with decision makers, the changes in system, institution, social life events, or at the level of learning activity nature of the tasks, their volume, their difficulty, the existence of deadlines, restrictions, conditions for learning, unjustified rules, the ambiguity of roles and responsibilities.
The complexity of this phenomenon and the variety of types of stress (acute, chronic, physical, psycho-social; discontinue, continuous, neural-endocrine, systemic; of sub-solicitation, of overloading, etc.) requires actions to control stress and affective-motivational-type effects involved in learning. This action should, in fact, be preceded by installation stress prevention through balanced approach to the problem of learning tasks, by the action on the optimization of capacity utilization, through motivation, training, and improvement of the typical responses, by self-reward, relaxation, self-suggestion, compensation by other activities, including physical exercise.
In this paper we present the results on stress management in academic learning, obtained by applying a questionnaire of opinions and attitudes applied to the students in Mathematics, Computer Science and Geography, with the purpose of ascertaining the main ameliorative strategies used.
