The types of the commercial additives used as cold flow improvers are presented in this study. New structures of cold flow improvers and their action mechanism are also shown. The synthesis of polyalkylmethacrylate and maleic/fumaric diester copolymers with vinylacetate is described. These additives answer the requirements of fuel diesel used in Romania climatic conditions.
