The PoLogCem software help control pollution from a cement plant with non-linear regression.

The control of the pollution dynamic supposes the control of the whole pollution chain, starting from production planning and ending with pollution parameter measurements. This paper describes a software system that will scan the pollution activity specific for cement plants and will propose logistical solutions with the purpose of pollution control so that the costs of pollution reduction are minimized.

The software reliability estimation by probabilistic-fuzzy methods based on testing techniques is considered. Both theoretical and practical aspects are treated.

This paper prooses the usage of the bootstrap (Efron, 1979) method to study parametric explicit nonlinear models which appear in software reliability and other fields. The uniform resampling is used to study the accuracy of the parametric estimations. The method is illustrated by a numerical example.

Possible approaches in optimal reliability allocation for software products and some algorithmic tools for assisting the manager in a total quality management paradigm are described.
