premii Ad Astra

Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/. Proiectul și-a propus identificarea și popularizarea modelelor de succes, a rezultatelor excepționale ale cercetătorilor români din țară și din afara ei.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA.

A scheme for interpolation with trigonometric spline curves

We present a method for the interpolation of a given sequence of data points with $C^n$ continuous trigonometric spline curves of order n+1 (n > 0) that are produced by blending elliptical arcs. Ready to use explicit formulas for the control points of the interpolating arcs are also provided. Each interpolating arc depends on a global parameter $alpha in (0, pi)$ that can be used for global shape modification. Associating non-negative weights with

Fluvial response to climate variations and anthropogenic perturbations for the Ebro River, Spain in the last 4000 years.

Fluvial sediment discharge can vary in response to climate changes and human activities, which in return influences human settlements and ecosystems through coastline progradation and retreat. To understand the mechanisms controlling the variations of fluvial water and sediment discharge for the Ebro drainage basin, Spain, we apply a hydrological model HydroTrend. Comparison of model results with a 47-year observational record (AD 1953–1999) suggests

Automated parameterisation for multi-scale image segmentation on multiple layers

We introduce a new automated approach to parameterising multi-scale image segmentation of multiple layers, and we implemented it as a generic tool for the eCognitionŸ software. This approach relies on the potential of the local variance (LV) to detect scale transitions in geospatial data. The tool detects the number of layers added to a project and segments them iteratively with a multiresolution segmentation algorithm in a bottom-up approach, where

Molecular Ions Resulted in Mass Spectrometer for 1,3-bis(phenylselanyl)-azulenes and Their Oxidized Products

The reported results in this paper confirm the previous statement on the limited validity of the EE rule for the molecular ion generation when ESI method was used in mass spectrometer. Thus, the ratio [M].+/[M+1]+ increases with the molecule oxidizability until the absence of the protonated form; therefore, in several cases the base peak fragment is not always an EE fragment. In addition to the basic fragmentation of the compounds with one selenium
