Rezumat:
The main purpose of this PhD thesis was to achieve a paleofloristic study of the Rasca Valley area. For this study was used paleofloristic (palynological and macrofloristic) samples from outcrops in Rasca (Suceava county) and from a drilled boreholes around Baia village. We also attempted to determine the values of MAT (mean annual temperature) and MAP (mean annual precipitation) using coexistence approach method (proposed by Mosbrugger and Utescher 1997), and on that basis to determine the type of climate that influenced the area during Sarmatian. After analysis have been highlighted a number of paleoclimatical conditions deducted on identified flora and we have revealed several palynofacial conclusions determined on account of organic matter. This study was completed with several geochemical analysis for TOC (Total Organic Carbon), and kerogen type.
