premii Ad Astra

Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/. Proiectul și-a propus identificarea și popularizarea modelelor de succes, a rezultatelor excepționale ale cercetătorilor români din țară și din afara ei.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA.

A Computer Method for Rapid Design of Composite Steel-concrete Cross-sections

This paper presents an efficient numerical procedure for the rapid design of arbitrary-shaped composite steel-concrete cross-sections that are subjected to biaxial bending and axial force. The design procedure allows cross-sections to be designed by solving directly for the reinforcement required to provide a cross-section with adequate strength. The new numerical procedure developed in this paper shows very good stability in the presence of strain

Human Insulin Fibril-assisted Synthesis of Fluorescent Gold Nanoclusters in alkaline Media Under Physiological Temperature

Fluorescent insulin fibrils gold nanoclusters (Au NCs) have been synthesized through the reduction of gold by human insulin in fibrillated form. Likewise, nanocluster formation has been regulated by insulin, working as a protein-based template. Environment- and surface-controlled experiments have shown the optimized synthesis conditions is comprised of a pure aqueous alkaline solvent for insulin under constant heat at physiological temperature (37

Adult leptomeningeal cerebellar heterotopia in contact with the posterior inferior cerebellar artery

A leptomeningeal mass was encountered during microdissection of a 63-year-old male cadaver, located dorsal to the left side of the medulla oblongata. The structure was compressing the posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) and was composed of cerebellar-like tissue. Immunohistochemistry for S100 protein, glial fibrillary acidic protein and neurofilaments (NF, the triplet proteins and the 200 kD antibody) on paraffin-embedded samples confirmed

Possible role of apoptosis in the pathogenesis and clinical evolution of radicular cyst: an immunohistochemical study

AIM: To investigate whether the apoptotic cascade is activated through the extrinsic pathway in epithelial lining and connective tissue of radicular cysts. METHODOLOGY: Fifteen radicular cysts were fixed in formalin, embedded in paraffin wax and processed for immunohistochemistry to evaluate the expression of polyclonal antibodies against Tumour necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL), DR5 and caspase-3. Immunocomplexes were treated

Isaiah’s Prophetic Instruction and the Disciples in Isaiah 8:16

Isa 8:16 is considered a key reference regarding the formation of the book of Isaiah and the role of prophetic disciples in this process. This article argues, however, that originally this verse had a more limited significance. The instruction to which v. 16 refers is to be identified with vv. 12-15 rather than an early 'book' of Isaiah. The expression 'the instructed ones' (of YHWH rather than the prophet) is applied to the prophet's audience. This
