premii Ad Astra

Asociația Ad Astra a anunțat câștigătorii Premiilor Ad Astra 2022: http://premii.ad-astra.ro/. Proiectul și-a propus identificarea și popularizarea modelelor de succes, a rezultatelor excepționale ale cercetătorilor români din țară și din afara ei.

Asociatia Ad Astra a cercetatorilor romani lanseaza BAZA DE DATE A CERCETATORILOR ROMANI DIN DIASPORA.

Climate variability in the Carpathian Mountains region over 1961-2010

The Carpathian Mountains Region (CMR) lies over parts of the territories of seven Central and South-Eastern European countries, and the mountain chain induces major changes in the temperate climate specific to the latitudes between 43° and 49°N. Different administrations govern the long-term meteorological networks; the infrastructure, collection protocols, and storage capacities are specific to each country, so that a comprehensive study on the

Evaluation of Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Activities and Phenolic Profile for Hyssopus officinalis, Ocimum basilicum and Teucrium chamaedrys

This study was designed to examine the in vitro antioxidant and antimicrobial activities and to characterize the polyphenolic composition of the ethanolic extracts of Hyssopus officinalis, Ocimum basilicum and Teucrium chamaedrys. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the major phenolic compounds were conducted using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS). The total polyphenols, caffeic acid derivatives and

Correlation between glass transition temperature and melting temperature in metallic glasses

We report that the glass transition temperature (Tg) of a variety of metallic glasses (MGs) correlates with the eutectic or peritectic temperature of two main components corresponding stoichiometric proportion in their binary phase diagram. The correlation suggests that the Tg of MGs is mainly determined by their solvent of two base components, which have composition close to the eutectic and peritectic points in the binary phase diagram and the

Strong and Selective Adsorption of Lysozyme on Graphene Oxide

Biosensing methods and devices using graphene oxide (GO) have recently been explored for detection and quantification of specific biomolecules from body fluid samples, such as saliva, milk, urine, and serum. For a practical diagnostics application, any sensing system must show an absence of nonselective detection of abundant proteins in the fluid matrix. Because lysozyme is an abundant protein in these body fluids (e.g., around 21.4 and 7 μg/mL

VARYING CAPACITY PUMPING UNIT – Unitate de pompare cu debit variabil

VARYING CAPACITY PUMPING UNIT The invention relates to a varying capacity pumping unit meant for extracting oil, liquids, etc. According to the invention, the varying capacity pumping unit ensures flow regulation in oil production by providing some double articulated rods (9) with some spherical bearings (10) taking over the motion thereof and converting it in oscillatory motion which is further transmitted to some triangle-shaped members (11). Said

Nonlinear dynamic modeling of economic systems using NetLogo

Nonlinear dynamic modeling of economic systems is using an interdisciplinary advance combining comprehension from Agent-based Computational Modeling and Economics with the reach to analyze the evolution of an economic system composed by intelligent agents. Agent-based Computational Modeling is paying attention on intelligent agents seen as entities that sum up other agents, procedures, parameters, and variables. Using agents, the scientist builds
